Your tokens never touch the UI

Every request to SpacetimeDB goes through the Rust backend. The web layer never sees your credentials.

Bearer tokens live in your system keychain and are never returned to the frontend after saving.

Import the token and server list from the spacetime CLI.
Enforced read-only mode
Lock production connections. Writes are blocked in the backend, not just hidden in the UI.

What is Spacetime Studio?

Spacetime Studio is a free, open-source desktop GUI for SpacetimeDB. It connects to local, Maincloud or self-hosted SpacetimeDB databases so you can inspect schemas, browse and edit table rows, run SQL, call reducers and stream logs without leaving a native app.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows 10 and 11 (x64) have ready-to-install .exe and .msi builds on GitHub Releases. macOS and Linux builds are planned; until then you can build and run the app from source with Node.js, Rust and Tauri 2.

Does it work with SpacetimeDB Maincloud and self-hosted servers?

Yes. Pick Local server (http://localhost:3000), Hosted in Maincloud, or Self-hosted and enter the URL of your own deployment on Railway, Fly, a VPS or anywhere else.

How are my auth tokens stored?

Bearer tokens are saved in your operating system keychain, never in the web frontend, and are never sent back to the UI after saving. You can also reuse the token from your spacetime CLI login instead of pasting one.

Can I prevent accidental writes to production?

Mark any connection as read-only. Row edits, reducer calls and writing SQL are then blocked, and the rule is enforced in the Rust backend rather than just hidden in the UI.

Is Spacetime Studio free?

Yes. It is MIT-licensed open source software. Issues, ideas and pull requests are welcome on GitHub.
